Adams Motorsports Park **Time Attack Tuesdays**

A few guys from Pro-Touring set up a meet last night at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside. I've been wanting to go check it out so Evan and I headed out there with a camera in hand. We lucked out as a customer of ours(Don Chemello) was also heading down there in his '32 Ford.

If you haven't been there yet it is a great place to let off some steam. $20 for an hour long session which consists of Three, 3 lap runs. You get a warm up lap, a timed lap, and a cool down lap. You can run up to 3 sessions($60 total = $27 laps)

Thats cool

It must have been Camaro day
Is it open for anyone, or do you have to belong to a club?
Where is it located, is it at the go-cart track just north of the 60?
Post up a head of time next time you go, I would like to go and watch also.

Like Mike said, yes, it is the Kart track just north of the 60 off of Market. It is a larger track than most Goodguys autocrosses and you definitely get more runs in.

I'll definitely keep you guys posted for the next one. It will end up being a once a month thing with the guys from Pro-Touring. It is a show up and drive event, all you need is a helmet and a tolerance for loud rap music.

I'd love to see some Novas out there mixing it up with the Camaros and imports.

i'm pretty sure the "dj" on tursday night drifting has a cd that he plays every week. while he stands there pretending that he's doing something.
this thursday is the test for my nova driving up there, i'm down in san diego 75 mins away. if it makes it up tomorrow then i'll drive up for a time attack. won't be racing it anytime soon, but i'll show support for the nova guys.

oh and i forgot to say, cool pics

Went down there again this week and the place was a ghost town. Don was able to make 9 laps in the first 45 minutes. Basically pay $20 to get roughly 18 laps on a slow night.

The guys from Pro-Touring are going back out next week so you guys should come out.

Here are some new pics from this week. Don is getting faster and faster but he had some issues that need attention ASAP so I don't think he will make it out next week.

What day and time are you going to be there? Does it cost anything to watch?

The big group of guys from P/T.com will be there next Tuesday the 10th. Racing starts at 6:00 I am hoping to get out of work by 5:30 so I don't miss any action.

$3.00 to spectate
$10 for pit entry and ride-a-longs(helmet needed)
$20 to race one session(helmet needed)

the drifting nights the guys make a ton of laps too. there are usually about 10 guys out. i'm glad to hear the time attack is usually the same size crowd.

are you gonna be there today the 10th?
i'll try to make it up, but i'm not sure. i'm probably going to my friends place for a bbq, but i don't think i'll be up there in time for the time attack.

and yes it's only $3 to watch. it's amazing how cheap it is and on drift nights there are still people parking on the side of the road cause they are too cheap to pay entry fees

I will be there tonight for sure. There should be about 7-8 cars from Pro-Touring.com, Rob from No Limit in his F100, but the axle is leaking on Don's '32 so he won't be going. I'll keep my work shirt on so if you see me stop by.

Evidently the NON points nights are the best nights to get the most runs. Here are some pics from last night.

Rob got the ignition problem figured out so with a bunch of extra HP on tap he was stepping the back end out on every turn. I caught this one mid spin with no time to zoom out.

The NSX came out and did a 360 on the first turn.

Here is a sequence of a RWD Civic spinning.

The next lap he got around the turn pretty clean.

*notice the back tire*

Wellllllllll, last night was..........interesting.

A 350Z lost a wheel, Don ended up in the dirt in the '32 and we killed the tranny in the Camaro.

Sal made 5 timed laps and the tranny let go on the 5th lap.

Lap #1 = 49.09
Lap #2 = 108.71 *flagged*
Lap #3 = 49.10
Lap #4 = 48.06
Lap #5 = 51.75 (he was coasting the whole last turn and straight)

I think Sal will be back next Tuesday providing we can get the tranny fixed. I have no doubt the car has a high 46 in her once he gets used to the track.

Don doing some last minute adjustments(disconnecting the rear anti-sway bar)
