they don't make one specifically for the '62 due to the hood latch mechanism... you can use a '63-'64 grille but it'd need to be modified so the latch works...

contact member "Nightshade"... he can help ya with a grille.

I have had my Carrage Works billet grill )purchase from Nightshade) mocked up on my 62 and I did not have any problems that I remember with the latch. What problems are we talking about? I seem to remember someone mentioning that to pull the latch, you had to cut out a small section of one of the grill "ribs" But I think I was able to just reach through and pull the latch.

Correct you will need 63-64 outer grill brackets and the 63-64 latch assy to run the 62 grill......

Hi Ron, if i recall correctly i told you that... after seeing the grille on a "few" '62's and inquiring about it, that's what i was informed.

maybe they weren't as gifted as you... i for one am glad you didn't have to modify the grille

I did have to trim down the outer side brackets, but the grill came with instructions. I can't remember if those intsructions applied only to 62's or all first generation brackets. Still don't know what the problem is with the 62 latch?

I bent the hood lever back, and I can just barely reach it underneath the grill but it worked. Don't cut the grill!
