Front End: Flaming River's quick ratio steering box( added after pics were taken), Edelbrock shocks, slightly cut coils, solid strut rods with adj. rod ends, global west bushings &control arm shaft, Addco sway bar, Gm disc brakes with SSBC aluminum twin pistons galipers.

Transmission: Supercase muncie 4 speed with iron midplate + special M21Y overdrive gearing.

Rear End: 12 bolts, bears axle with C-clip eliminators, 3.73:1, stock posi center section, aluminum finned drums

Exhaust: Flowmaster american thunder series mandrel bent 2.5" , 2 chambers

Wheels/Tires: Boyd's Junkyard dog 17x7 front, 18x8 rear(frt 215/45, rear 245/45)

Interior: new white interior, knee knocker tach, billet specialties steering wheel with Flaming river's polished and tilt column.

Electrical: Rear mounted battery, hidden MSD ignition.

Accessories/Options: SD gauge package (same as SS ), bucket seats, floor shift,

Sound system: hidden custom autosound system with trunk mounted cd changer, factory delete plate stayed on the dashboard.

What bumper guards did you put on the front, since there are no factory ones like that for your car?

Stock NOS rear guards, modified to fit with the front angled bumper (lots of grinding with a template )

I looked at my rear guards and had considered doing that on my 65.

By the way, I like the way they look on the front.

It was a lot of work...and frustrating at time
installing a stock grill guard would have been a lot easier but because of the special center section of the Acadian grill, i was not able to go with that option.

6 years ago...

Original 40 years old Cordovan brown paint !, with saddle interior
580 hp pump gas 406 cu. in.
glide with 8" 4300rpm stall
still 3.73 rear gears
ET Street Mickey Thompson
10.82 sec. @128 mph pump gas and street set up. (No power adders)
Roll cage with stock saddle interior.

Bought the car in 1991 as a complete rust free stocker that never saw salt nor snow (except for the pic in the previous post ! ), straight six, air cooled glide, 4 lugs 14" wheel, wearing it's original cordovan brown paint, stock unmolested interior.

drove the car as is ,

second year of ownership led me to buy a ****load of parts for the next 16 years and it is not over yet !

added disc brakes, weld wheel to finally get bitten by the Fast street car shootout bug. Built the car to run in the 10sec range in street trim with pump gas. It costed me a lot of Canadian dollars in the nineties to buy those parts !!! (exchange rate was not to our advantage to say the least...)

Once i was satisfied with the car running in the 10 sec zone, i got bored...
decided to completely disassemble the car to do a complete restoration and remodel the car to a more street friendly stance to attend car shows in the U.S. under it's own power.

No trailer queen here.
