What are you using the car for? street strip or straight drag racing and how much money is in your budget.

Are you planning on running slicks? I have seen guys run low 11's with a 8.2in 10 bolt rear, you can always change it out as **** allow

Your 10 bolt will last for awhile as long as you don't put down massive horsepower. Take into consideration on what suspension you are going to use such as 4 link, ladderbar, etc. since there will have to modifications made. If your planning on going fast might as well look into a Ford 9" with aftermarket axles etc. Don't scrimp on the axles I learned my lesson with my 12 bolt stock axles. If you are going to run some big tires you will prob have to have the rear end narrowed anyways. Take this into consideration for your plans. Good Luck.

saves you that measuring time. Drivetrain part of the forum has plenty of rearend swap information when you are ready to go that route.
