I didnt see anything that helps me. I was hoping that 68 came with the ss black and siver 5 spokes with trim rings but im thinking it was a 69 and later thing, So im guessing it was a rally wheel with a cap and trim ring, What cap was used in the 68 ss wheel?

What wheels came stock on '68 SS?

Depended on what you ordered.........the base was a steel wheel painted the same color as exterior of the car with a small "dog dish" style cap. If you wanted to "upgrade" you had a choice of the 5 slot Rally Wheel painted Argent silver with trim ring, another choice was the 5 spoke SS style wheel with trim ring and SS center cap. the only thing you didn't get was a standard full wheel cover on the SS....The '69 had an "illusive" 5 spoke Mag style wheel cover that was in the brochure but not too many made it to the street, probably not very popular option. I hope this answers your question........You have several choices depending on what "flavor" you want to give your Nova......Good luck.............

My 68 I personal laid eyes on it when it was 2 days old.
It had this style wheel on it.

They're my favorite too, but my plane jane L78 car won't be plane jane with them and my #'s car won't be correct with them. Maybe I'll just have to buy another Nova!

68 wheels

the black and silver 5 spoke started in 69. the 68 SS could get painted steel with dog dish hub caps or full wheel hub cap with SS emblem or 5 spoke mag looking full hub cap or 14x6 rally wheels with big durby center caps if you ordered disc brakes you had to have the rally wheels because only the rally wheels would clear the 4 piston calipers.

I do know the 5 spokes are actually dark grey not black.

They may have been available in the late model year of 68.
