Calling All Chevy II/Nova Wagons for OC Wagon Train 11-28-09

If any Chevy II or Nova wagon owners want to join an Orange County Wagon Train on Saturday, November 28th, feel fee to sign-up on this thread. I've been thinking about doing this for awhile now, and with our annual BBQ Taco Cruise overwith, it would be way cool to assemble as many '62 to '67 Chevy II and Nova wagons for a simple cruise, starting in Fullerton near my house. The plan is to meet at 8:15 a.m., north of the 91 Freeway, across from Sonic Drive-In on Lemon St., at the Cycle Gear/In Cahoots parking lot. At 8:45, we'll start the Wagon Train rolling and head to Modern Performance in Orange and visit owner Rudy Martinez for awhile. From Rudy's we'll caravan south on Glassell Ave., hit the 22 Freeway, head east to the 55, and south to Pacific Coast Highway and exit to get a group photo. Next would be a lunch spot (to be determined, as hooksup2 Mark and I will scout the neighborhood this coming weekend). We can wagon-train some more, or call it a day and head back to our homes. Just something to whet our appetite that won't take-up the whole day. Let's try to get 20 wagons. Thanks, RK

i'm in! It will be nice to meet some of you guys and gain some knowledge!

on a side note nice talking to you tonight RK. I'll scout some places out this weekend north of HB. It's a shame the Dairy Queen on PCH beside TK Burger doesn't have a bigger parking lot.

I will do my very best to make it to this event. If I can convince my girlfriend to join in it'll be a dead ringer. She's coming in for T-Day from Oxford (yes, over in the UK) and I'm not sure I can do it. I'll submit a request form to her with dates and times and see if I can get the stamp of approval some way or another.

You have a point here, but do you have a wagon? If not, you should find one and cruise it! FYI, Steve, you're a great guy. I'm just giving you a little sass.

We all know that a 3rd gen wagon would have looked a little weird. Now, if you could do some modification to your 2 door car to somehow make it a long roof we'd all be interested to see it on this cruise!

They are in the process of creating a convertable VW corrado....

You could cruise up Main St and do your group photo at HB High. Not many places to go north up HB unless you want to pay for parking (off PCH that is).

The lower lot at the Cliffs would be nice but you'd have to have some quarters for the meters.
