Brake help needed

Well, I'm not sure where I'm screwing up but something isn't right. I'm trying to install the front brake calipers and there seems to be a huge problem. There's no way these are going over the rotors. The front pads won't go over the rotor, and even if it does, or was forced, the rotor isn't going to turn. Maybe I have the wrong kit, I don't know since i purchased these almost 2 years ago and have since lost the receipt. Anyway, here's some pics. Maybe somebody can tell me what the heck is wrong.
thanks

If i'm looking at the pics right your saying the pads are to thick? If so you could grind them down.

I'd have to grind quite a bit off, and the rear pad isn't even close to touching the rotor.

Can the caliper anchor be positioned differently (flipped)? Are the RF and LF anchors the same?

Do you have the recommended brake kit for the Heidt's spindle or just some generic Nova kit? Some of the aftermarket spindles require a particular caliper.

Could be, but they were marked driver/ passanger so I assumed they were correct. Also I have a piture to look at and they look the same as the pic. I'll have to check them when I get back home.

Looks to me like the whole caliper is too far inboard- which leads me to think its an issue with the spindles being wrong...or the anchors-but im un-familler with dropped spindles and 1st/2nd gens so take it FWIW....

It may be the picture angle but it looks as though even if the caliper fit over the rotor the mouth of the caliper would not cover the rotor enough for sufficient pad contact. Take out the pads, mount the caliper, and take another photo.

That's the way it looks to me as well. Looks as though the calipers are too far back. I'll mount the empty calipers and take another pic when I get home.
Thanks

Can the caliper be mounted on the outside of the caliper bracket rather than the inside?

It seems like it might be off by the width of the bracket, so mounting the caliper outboard may fix it.

It does appear to be off about the width of the bracket, but the calipers will only go on one way.
But as Bryan said, even if they go on, the mouth of the caliper looks to be to big and wouldn't provide sufficent pad contact. I'm thinking theses are the wrong calipers?

The brackets don't look correct or maybe the bracket and rotor ***'y. The pictures show the caliper to far inboard but also to far away from the rotor as if the rotor should be a larger diameter. What ever the case your combo is definitely wrong.
