Patriot heads vs AFR vs Pro filer heads

Hello my fellow Nova fans!!!! I am searching for the best head for the money. I have a 400 sbc thats been bored to 408, it has a Comp xtreme energy 294 (flat) cam. The car is a street/strip car that would see very, very little track time. The highest RPM this motor would see is 6,000. I have been leaning toward the a pair of heads (#2121) from Patriot Performance, as they fit my budget. I would like to know if any of you have had any experience with them and what were the results?? Any recomendation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!

For me it would be a toss up between the AFR's and ProFiler heads.

There's a lot of other budget heads out there with good service records. Summit is selling the Trickflow and Brodix versions under their name and you can see the Brodix IK heads for just barely over 1k several places.

Then there's the Canfield heads, Dart heads, RHS heads, Edelbrock heads... All of which have a lot of potential!!

But absolute bang for the buck, look real hard at the Profiler 210's.

Assembled for a grand!!!

We know who you are.

Kinda self serving statement when you don't have the test facts posted !

And if yours are first with RHS seconds then I do question the facts.

When others are way ahead of RHS

Flow numbers and true HP & torque numbers are 2 very differant things.

Yep! Someone who has actually flow tested, velocity probed, ported, dynod, or seen ET at track. Not someone who has offered an opinion based solely on what he is blinded by.

Kinda self serving statement when you don't have the test facts posted !
What do you need? Let's start here. Pro-Filer was designed by Darin Morgan. Heard of him? Here is a refresher course.. http://www.darinmorgan.com/dmch.html Now you want facts? Here are two of the latest. How about Bill Simpkens who picked up an honest .25 from his reworked AFR 210's.. Right here: http://www.1320techtalk.com/viewtopi...&highlight=afr or Kornfed who runs 11.03 with a '79 Malibu he DROVE to the track and then hit with a small shot and ran 10.08. You can find that here: http://www.1320techtalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=1520.. Now flow data. You need it for a particular head? Velocity profile perhaps? Just ask me.

However, what does your car run?

And if yours are first with RHS seconds then I do question the facts.

Mine? Pro-Filer are as cast. You obviously know NOTHING about a port design if you don't like the RHS! It can make 600+ on an honest dyno with little work. OR 800hp fully ported! Like here: http://www.1320techtalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=1456 Let's keep comparing something I've ported vs a AFR because in the real World they are far from as-cast!

Flow numbers and true HP & torque numbers are 2 very differant things.
Hey we finally agree! And flow is OVERRATED!! Again, what does your car run and at what weight?

And lastly, JUST LIKE YOU, I offered my OPINION! What gives you the right to question my motives? What gives you the right to question Pro-Filer when you have never even seen them? I've never got on this site and said buy my heads! If I have, please show me. AFR is a good head, sure, STREET HEAD! However, there are many more players out there. Take your blinders off. BUY WHAT YOU WANT! It's your money..

100% street car.
AFR 210 heads
355 cu flat top engine
3690lbs with driver
10.9 compression 100% pump gas! 91 octane

plenty of member on this board who can verify everything I have said. And members were there to see this pass and car spin like crazy!

I would be glade to bolt your heads on for a direct result.

Send -um and we will end this debate! I will d the work, pay for the gaskets.
Then send them back to you.

Because you know the AFR's are going back on!!!
