Would this even be worth trying to sell or should I keep it

All numbers on block and heads are ORIGINAL and have not been re-stamped. Neither block nor heads have been decked.

Post 512 Block...

Unless you own a 69 tri-power Vette....otherwise it should bring big bucks in the Corvette world. You are miss reading a letter in that VIN..it should be 19Sxxxxxx....S=St. Louis. Do you have the internals..?? crank, rods, pistons..?? Try posting on one of the Corvette sites or the SYC for more info....sounds like a nice problem to have. Good luck.

My uncle has a 69 390hp 427 short block that he removed in 1970.
It is clearanced like the LS6 block so at one time we thought it would be worth more to the Chevelle guys. After researching I found out that there are external differneces between it and the LS6.
He had it at $1000 at alot of swap meets and got zero interest. He wouldn't do online or shipping.
The 435hp should be worth more but you would have to advertise it to the Corvette guys.

June and July are very late build dates for '69. I would have thought that was built for the '70 model year.

Very cool find!! I had T026 IR 18S422542 427/435 block only and found a Corvette guy that paid me $3500.00 for just the block.I paid $2400.00 for it,so I did real good,Standard bore too! Post that info on Corvette site!! Goodluck!! Dan

Try contacting Kevin MacKay of corvetterepair.com .Hes a well known Corvette restorer on Long Island NY. I know him too....
