It's been almost 2 years since the last Ventura County cruise, so I'd like to do another one Saturday January 17. I have a route that is very scenic with multiple photo opps. Here is the itinery (see post #73 for more detail):
Meet in Calabasas at 9 AM (26531 Agoura Road, see map below)
Take Las Virgenes to Pepperdine U. on PCH
Drive north on PCH stopping at Mugu point
Continue on PCH to 101, stop in Ventura for gas
Drive up to Grant Park for great views of Channel Islands
Drive to Rincon (Carpinteria) with overlook of Santa Barabra coast
Stop for lunch at Padaro Beach Grill or Summerland Cafe

Would you be able to put up a map so we can see where it is? Where would be a good place to park a trailer, as some of us would have to trailer our car out there as it is to far to drive the car, at least for me anyway.

Wade,
There is plenty of room to park trailers at the shopping center or on the street where we will start in Calabasas, just off 101. I will post a map and more details tomorrow.

Here is a general map of the route for the cruise, with more details to follow. Also some pics I took - NOT. But they do give a fairly good representation of some of the scenery on the route. You don't wanna miss this one!
Driving thru Malibu
Mugu Rock

Thanks
Is there a place around Ventura where we can park a trailer? I will be coming out the 126 and would like to park around Ventura then drive to the starting point, this way after we are done I won't have to drive all the way back to the starting point to load up the car. Maybe the place where we will be stopping at point D, or close by?
Also do you know roughly how many miles the cruise will be?
Would any one mind if my son brings his late model Camaro?
Wade, A good location to park it would be the Target on Main St. From 126 take the Main St. exit (just before 126 ends at 101). Make a left at the signal and go 2 blocks, Target is on the right. Big parking lot, plenty of space. To get on 101 to Calabasas, just make a right on Main St go 1 block and it feeds directly onto the 101 south onramp. When you come back from Carpinteria, take the Telephone Road exit in Ventura (just past 126 exit), go straight across Main St and you are at Target.
Approximate Mileage
Calabasas to Carpinteria 75 miles (Las Virgenes to PCH to 101)
Carpinteria to Ventura 20 miles
Ventura to Calabasas 35 miles (direct on 101)
Camaros are cool, we would be glad to have him join us!
