doug nash turbo 400 overdrive????

A good friend of mine just picked up a 66 nova with turbo 400 that is equipped with an aftermarket Doug Nash overdrive unit. It is the weirdest set up I have seen. It bolts to the back of the th400 and has a switch in the car to shift to overdrive. He is thinking about taking it out. I been told these are around 2500 new??? Anyone know or ever seen one before??

The Gear Vendor is the old Doug Nash unit.

Doug Nash was sold to Richmond gear.

They then sold the Nash overdrive unit to Gear Vendors,
Keeping the transmissions.

Yes new they were 2500.00 dollars. His unit is a min of 12-15 years old.

I would be interested in the unit.

but not close to 2500.00!
