Hey guys, been searching on here, thought there was a write up on what spindles and or drums from donor cars that would change a 62 4 bolt drum to a 5 bolt. what to look for at the junkyard. thanks Joe
Depending on what year nova this question has a very easy answer 64-67 are factory 5 lug and they make a disc kit that will work with factory drum brake spindles. As for going to the junkyark and getting any of those "a" "f" "x" body disc kits forget it as these widen the track width by about and inch per side. These early novas have tire to fender rub and after installing one of the kits your face will look like this. Just a headsup.
Although that's easily fixed by drilling a hole where the dimple is on a 63+ I don't see how it will effect what spindles and hubs are used, since the steering linkage from 62-5 are basically interchangable.
