How does the directional signal (#5) attach to the Mast jacket (#18) or does it attach at that point?

I have the assembly manuel, and this (were the numbers came from), the service manual, but I don't understand how what holds the directional signal housing.

Any one have a picture with the steering heel off or the turn signal switch removed?

Thanks

Mark

If memory serves there are 3 screws that hold the mast jacket. That diagram is depicting a '62 column which is different in that the TS switch is located downward on the outside of the column & activated differently.,
while the 63 - up TS switch is within the mast jacket.
Once you remove your '63 TS switch, you'll see the screws which hold the mast jacket down.

This is from the 63 supplement, 64 is the same...

I think I see the 3 screws your talking about but does the actual directional housing slide over and then lock to the mast?

So does A slide and twist into B?
