Too funny, that red car is now parked in my driveway...

We just bought it last weekend. It didn't have the stock Rally's on it, had Cragar's installed. Do have one Rally on the spare in the trunk.

Thanks, we're excited to have it. My wife's first car was '76 Nova.

Would you be interested in the Cragar's? Looking at changing to new wheels and tires soon.

More Clean Up

Well i ripped out the passenger side carpet and found more rust on the floor. Looks like i am going to invest in some new floor pans. No more swiss cheese for this ride.

Tomorrow i will be taking the wire wheel to the fender and see what is hiding under the bondo.

I may be in the same boat as you, plan on pulling my seats and carpet next week. We'll see what's lurking in mine.

Keep the pictures coming!

Are those little holes from rust or put in to use a dent puller or rust --or both? Also, any idea how the moisture gets down in there to rust things out? I know mine had small rust holes under the quarter window seal on both sides that could have allowed water to get down in there before I fixed them. Looks like the you have the back window sealed up good though. Keep up the good work!

Well the back window was busted out of it for some time before the wife and i took possession of the Nova. Plus i found Fiberglass insulation tucked in the area which if wet would also help with rust. I am pretty sure that it is a combination of both the Dent puller, Wet insulation and neglect from the PO.

What size tires are you trying to get under her? I moved my shocks inboard with a cross member between the frame rails and that gave a lot more room. If I remember correctly the frame is about inline with the inner wheel well so you may have to notch the frame also.

I just wanted to put a wider tire but after reading some of the other builds i have decided to stay with 8'' wide rims. Thank you for your input.
