need help removing the rear bumper of my '69. i started taking the tail lights out but realized they won't come all the way out until the bumper is off. i removed the 6 or 8 on the bottom, but it looks like there's four big bols that run along the top of the bumper. I can't access the nuts from my trunk, and i can't find a place from behind the bumper... does anyone know how to remove those bolts? thanks!
there is like 2 bolts or so per side that bolt the rear bumper bracket to the rear valance...unbolt them...very easy to do....DO NOT UNBOLT THE CARRAGE BOLTS THAT YOU CAN SEE WHEN LOOKING AT THE BUMBER FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR....crawl under the rear of the car and you will see 2 bolts on each side that bolts the bumper brackets too the car....they are what you want to remove...too easy and works all the time...good luck
heres an old pic of the car with out the bumper, btw you dont have to remove the bumper too remove the tailights, just loosen them up and the bumper will drop down a tad..good luck
cool thanks guys. my nova is now devoid of chrome and trim and everything not needing paint, except the door handles lol... man this thing is FILTHY!!!
