I'm not sure Bob, since I have not seen the car - its 1500 miles away. A friend is in Fla, saw the car and was "told" by the seller is a numbers L79 car. Even if we get engine trans and rear id #'s, without build sheet, there still is no way to know that they were installed in that car from the factory - correct?
Hi Frank, you are correct. You only can tell by original build sheets and documentation. Everything else can be correct to a L 79 but documentation is the only way you can prove if it is a L 79.
thanks guys. Seems like everywhere I turn there are L79's showing up. In 66 they only built about 5k of them and I swear there are at least a dozen still alive here in Rochester. Kinda like the Woodstock syndrome. Years after the concert/love-in seemed like everyone who was breathing back in the 60's "said" they were there...Dude, I need documentation.
Frank
