I made a nut removal tool from a length of pipe with a union on the end of it for a grip. I mearly removed metal between two sides with a reverse castellated configuration. A dremel style tood did most of the work.
I just used it the other day cuz wiper switch was makiing a poor ground and not working.
Pm me for a picture.
Oops not sure if third generation is the same, mine is first.
Switch is held on to the dash with a split nut retainer...use a little WD40, a small flat driver , and tap anti clockwise until loose..Picture shows components.. switch, bezel and reatiner
I use split ring pliers to get the nut out. The sockets that a lot of companys sell for the nut doesn't work well enough - if at all. A big screw driver or a notched deepwell works great too. I do not recommend using a screw driver and tapping it... they don't look to great all chewed up.
I would think something like 'damn bassackwards castle thingy' is more consistent with 'cuz' and the like...
