I have a 750 square bore Holley carb & a Performer RPM Air-gap intake. I am considering trying out some carb spacers, do I want to use the 4 hole style or the open center type with this intake?
Talk to a couple friends and see who has what that you can borrow. Then go to the track and see what works best for your car.
EVERY motor is different and will even act different at different elevations. There is absolutely NO way to say what motor will respond to any kind of spacer.
I just finished installing the RPM Air-Gap intake on my 355 yesterday. I am running a BG Road Demon 625cfm square bore carb. I used the 1" phenolic spacer for square bore. http://www.jegs.com/i/Mr. Gasket/720/3404/10002/-1
I am very pleased with the results!
I guess what I was really wondering was if either a 4 hole or open center spacer is recommended on my dual plane intake. Sounds like I can use either, is that correct? I plan on trying some different heights of spacers.
Are the HVH spacers worth the money? ~100 vs. the 30 for the plastic spacers?
