That's reassuring

Started on the floor this afternoon. Nobody told me how fun replacing a rusted floor pan would be. Must be a pro's secret. What a blast this is, haha. Going fairly smooth I suppose. Got the front section and seat brace area cut out to rough shape. Still waiting for the pan to show up. So I won't cut too much out yet

Mike

Floor pan is taking a while because of the holidays. Knocked out the trunion upgrade and PAC dual springs. Block should be done next week and then we can assemble the motor

Great build thread! We like seeing current builds. There should be a Nova show in Hawaii....ther were a number of builds sent out to the islands this past month.

Thanks Chuck. Can't wait to get all your parts on the car

Finished stripping under the dash and small stuff in the engine bay. Also cut out the passenger floor and got the new piece tacked in. Will finish it up next weekend

Mike

just remember POR is paint over rust it uses the rust to stick. if you do not have rust it will flake off.

I looks like you are going to have one nice ride when you are finished.I did a minitub on my 63 and moved the springs in two inches with Competition Eng. weld in subframe connectors. If you move the front hangers over 2 in.you do not need to do anything to the rear hangers and everything will line up with out off set shackles.I thought I would have to go with off set shackles but everything lined up perfectly with out them.Evidently the springs on a stock setup are not parallel in stock form because mine are very close to parallel .I have an S-10 rear sway bar on my Nova and it really helps.

Thanks for the info

What about the spring perches on the rear end? Did they still have to be moved with the relocated front mount?

Thanks
Mike

right, I understand what you're saying about the leaf spring mounts on the chassis. I'm asking about the pads on the rear end. if I remember correctly, you have a s10 rear?

are the mounting pads the same width as the original 10 bolt?

thanks
Mike
