63VertSS's Build Thread

Ok guys and gals... time to start the build thread.
Basic specs are a 63 SS .. I6, PG.. all stock except the s10 brakes and 2" lowered. Car was originally red w/black interior.. I am not a fan of the factory red and will be picking a new color eventually.

Previous owner looks to have spent some cash recently on bushings up front and on the monoleafs.. as well as some panel repair and paint prep. It is currently a tinted primer that I like to call light blue and my wife likes to call toothpaste!

Build plans are:
- 2002 WS6 LS1, LS6 intake
- 4l60e (minor upgrades inside)
- FULL CBR front (uppers/lowers, coils, power rack, etc)
- CBR mid length stainless headers
- CBR trans xmember
- CBR rear multi leafs and adjustable shocks
- CBR/Entrophy radiator w/shroud and fans
- Comp Engineering subframe connectors
- TanksInc EFI tank w/in tank pump, sender, regulator, russel lines/fittings
- PSI harness
- LS Brake conversion
- and a lot of little odds and ends!

... the interior will need some help eventually.. I would like to keep the floor shifter from the powerglide (I think it looks cool) if I can.. seats need covers or maybe replaced with some better buckets.. door panels are tired.

Here are some pics of the car ...

Thanks guys...

Exhaust is out.. radiator/cooling lines out.. engine almost ready to pull.

Rear CBR multileafs are in (that wasnt fun by myself). Once engine/trans are out.. I have a lot of grime to clean up!

Toothpaste!...that is exactly how I would describe it. But man that car looks like the body and trim are in great shape. Like others have said looks like a great parts line up, so I wish that the project goes smooth for you
