I am curious about what it would take to put a 700r4 behind the straight six for those commutes down rt16. I have a 700r4 out of an 87 trans am but it has an electronic speedo and I am still unclear on hooking up the lockup linkage...any tips?
Check out bow tie overdrive they have everything your looking for You will need quite a few things, crossmember, shortened drive shaft,tv cable hook up.I'm in the process of doing the same thing and these guys seem to have it down. They also sell a kit to change over to mechanical speed control from electronic.I also have a link for switching the gear on the speedo assembly I will try and post.http://www.geocities.com/crosley_az/700spd.htmhere's some info from bowtie, you can also look through all their info on installing the 700r4http://www.tvmadeez.com/demon_cam/ Their web site is bowtie .com
