Is anyone running a 6speed auto in their Nova? If so what rear gears are you running? How do you like it? I like the idea of a 6speed but unfortunatly for me I just had my left knee redone and there is NO WAY I can push in a clutch.Let me know
I wish I was running one!
I am running a 4 speed auto for the same reason... bad knees!
I like the gear spread on that TCI 6 speed that's in all of the mag's right now. close changes, not the big jump like I have in the 1-2 shirt of the 4L60e
its great you cant even tell when it shifts. there is no need to go get a tci auto.if you wait a couple years you will be able to pick one up from a junkyard for about $400 from a wrecked or stolen silverdo.
That was my plan; wait til they get plentiful and cheap in the wrecking yards and get one.I have a 700r with 4:10 now and I like it.My thinking was drop a 6speed in the Nova and run something like 4:88or even 5:13s. It would be an animal off the line but still be able to cruise at hiway speeds
Why is there always a big split between the 1st/2nd gears?
Wish it was a little tighter
