a kit is a kit untill ya get into a dedicated racing rebuild kit... rebuilding costs anywhere from 600 to 1200 depending on what ya want done... stock VS Hi-Perf rebuild
A stock type rebuilt kit runs a little under $100...
So if you plan to do it yourself figure $100 for the kit, $30 for trans fluid, and $20 for a manual to do it.
I rebuilt mine with a hardened sprag race, shift kit, and a B&M "race" rebuild kit, for a tad under $350. It was the first time I'd ever had a auto apart, and it WORKED by the time I was finished
Your can buy a fresh TH350 with shift kit for ~$600-650, so don't pay a shop to rebuild your own if it's going to cost more than that.
