The V-8 linkage is the opposite. The lever points unpwards.

only I6 in 63,sorry,im using the v8 one,guess I should have said that,was trying to see which way the arm under the hood went,hooked forward and up, or up and forward? well its up and forward--THANKS FOR THE BREAKDOWN I6 AND V8!!!!!!!!!!!!

guys where can I get the SLEEVE(3707713) in the arm that the carb linkage goes into?

bushing#11 in the v8 breakdown?I need that animal

that bushing i'm almost positive that you can get it from any of the ChevyII/Nova restoration suppliers
