Cowl tag reattachment??

PO of my 62 removed the cowl tag while cleaning and repainting the firewall and he didn't reinstall it. I did receive the plate with the car so I purchased some original type rivets from YearOne but there was no instructions on how to install them. Do any of you gurus know how? Is there a special tool required? Thanks for your help.

I think you need a pop rivet gun.

I think they are hand peened to get the original look. You have to be able to get behind the firewall. Pop rivet gun will not do the original styles rivets.

Definitely not a pop rivet gun as there is no stem to set the rivet. Must be hand peened like bassinnovas suggests. Maybe others have some ideas.....
