Would this be a good cam for a 383 with 195 Afrs air gap. 3000 stall 700 r4 3.55 gear? Thanks

I cannot give you any advice about if that cam will be any good or not but here is what I used.

Have you called a Lunati, Comp, Isky's tech lines? They were extremely helpful for me. I got a douche sometimes, but I'd just call back or another company until I talked to someone that was helpful.

Specs:
1964 Chevy II. SBC, Alum. heads, Hyd Flat Cam (276/284, .474/.474 lift, 110 lsa), 1.5rr, BG 750, air gap intake, flowmasters, Richmond 5 spd, Halibrand 5 spokes, static drop

From what I hear lunati has been bought by comp....but I will give comp a call and see what they say,I was just curious if someone on here had run this cam

My cam is really close to that almost identical to the T It's a roller cam from comp cams.The spec's are with 1.5 rockers and with the 1.6 rockers it changes the lift to 576. and this cam is in my 383 and i love it great power all ranges

Love it!! 523HP i got 30x12.50-15 Et streets on and can spin threw all gears! I'm running Brodix (alum heads) 2.02 0.30 over 6inch rods 10.1 compression. i have a 3.89 gear but am going to go to 4.11

yes! 383 all forged built for spray! I havent yet but thinking this summer! Best of all on pump gas!

I have the one step up from this (XR294) in my 408,195's w/1.6 rockers and air gap.I really like it.Nice lopey idle and lights up big time at about 2500 and pulls hard to 6000+.I can gurgle around town at 1500 comfortably also without any stumbling or loading up.With your 383 I would expect similar results from the slightly smaller profile to match the auto and gears.I actually have an XR300 sitting on the shelf but with the 1.6 rockers it's beyond the max lift for 195's.I'm itching to try it though.I think it would be great with my M22 and 4.11's.If biggers better,too much is just right!

Set up in my 66 is similar but a
Little less rowdy:
383 with rhs torquer 170cc heads, voodoo 227/233 with .489/504 lift,
2500k converter in 700r4 with 3.55 posi.

Yes I think that would be a good cam. Idle better on a 112lsa but sound better on 110. You might rip off 12.0's et or better with good working suspension.
Do you already have the 3k converter?

With 27" tire I'm cruising 60mph about 2200rpms.
I guess you are pretty similar?!
