what HP would you expect from that combo?

- 434 cui Dart aluminum race block
- 14:1 CR
- Diamond Pistons
- 15 degrees Pro Topline aluminum heads
- 1.7 and 1.8 Jesel Rocker
- big solid cam
- Pro-Systems SV-1 on E85

Shoot for 700hp. I think you'll make that with no problem. We made 615 out of a basic 383.

We are working on a new 468 cid small block chev cast iron block billett splayed heads and shooting for 1200 hp. Should be interresting. Steve Schmidt is building the engine and parts are starting to come in.
And yes that will be normally aspirated!

my engine builder is actually in the US (Palm Springs this weekend and then Bradenton) to attend the ProMod competition.

after his return he will dyno the engine.....I'll keep you informed.

I'm really exited about the outcome and especially the effects the new Pro-Systems SV1 will bring.

id say between 720and 750

hi all,

a little update. the motor is still on the dyno . at the first run we found a bad head gasket that is water leaking to three cylinders and forced us to take the motor to pieces again.

the new SV-1 carb failed at the next dyno run. The motor stumbled under load and was flooded with E-85. After a couple of hours of discussing the prob - we have tried a 700cfm 4-barrel carb. Concerning the much too small carb we only rev it up to 5000rpm and made 728HP .

I'm very exited what the engine will do with a carb that really fits. The SV-1 is back at the producer for an overall check.

Im thinking 785-800 with the proper carb...maybe more as im not sure by your post if you still ran E85 on the 750 or just gas...thats definitely motor porn there...BEAUTIFUL piece...very jealous

You will LOVE that sv1 if he can get it straightend out for you, that thing is wicked! We have one on our 69 nova and throttle response is AWESOME! For a 598 big block you woud think it was a small block its so sweet! Here is ours.

u should be well over the 800 mark nice combo..steve schmidt built me a 434 on 13.5 that made 748 and 728 on e85(winter blend).. 18 degree brodix heads.. suxs u had those issues on start up,,sumthin nobody likes to see after all that hard work..glad its back together and ya rd3 will b well worth it!!! keep us posted!!!
