Flywheel identification?

Hi all,

Was wondering if someone could identify this flywheel for me GM part number 3988999N Date stamp E284. I'm going to take a wild guess that the 284 is Feb 1984?

Thanks,
Stephen

Hi Al.

Does the 2 represent the week or the day?

If its like most of casting from GM I have seen I always thought that the number after the letter was the day?

Maybe not?

Jeff

I dont know Al, on heads, blocks-etc. I had always thought that the number after the letter was the day. I have seen that number as high as 31.

Im sure we will find out, and flywheels may be different.
