10 gauge red goes from bat to horn realy, to volt reg to bulk head it feeds car power aslo goes from volt reg to alt.
12 gauge purple goes to starter s it is hot when in cranking position only
small yellow at starter not needed for hei hooks to coil for points links starter to coil for start up.
white orang purple is resistor wire for points set up must be replaced or compleatly by passed to run hei, you can run a 12 gauge wire from ign at colum to hei. needs to be 12 volts with key on and 12 volts in cranking position
on one wire alt. you need only a 10 gage wire from alt to bat, and voltage reg can be removed from system
there is a small orange wire near starter wires do not get it confussed it hooks to your blower motor.
these are all questions i needed answers to and had to find out on my owne useing diagrams hop this post will help someone else.
