Some of my co-workers say i should leave the 6-cyl in it, and it does run excellent, but I've already bought a 350 for it. just havent put it in yet. What do you guys think?????? Put in the 350 or leave the six.
Well my daughter really likes it, so I might finish it and give it to her. If thats the case I will drop in the 350, later down the road. And if i decide to sell it, I think I can get more out of it with the 350.
Thanks Oscar, I started to colorsand this week, I hope to have all the colorsanding done, have it buffed and polished, and have the rest of the trim on it this weekend. It is House of Kolor paint system. This is the 3rd full car job I've done with their stuff, and man i tell you it is some of the most vibrant, briliant, shine there is. Their products are very nice to work with, a little spendy, but well worth it, for a show car finish. I also use PPG, and i really like their stuff too. But for any custom stuff i'll be doing for myself, it's House of Kolor.

the quality is fantastic great great job
i gotta do all that sanding and such to mine to bring out the color more mine shines but its dual its never been buffed or anything since the day it got painted
Yea, the only way to get a real nice shin is to colorsand, buff and polish. I've done this many times, and I've also done some flow coating, and that really makes it shine. if you need any tips, I'd be glad to get you going in the right direction. Almost all cars that come from the factory these days, or any custom paint, or body shop jobs, have some orange peel, and that makes them look dull. i know a guy that paid $80,000. for a new Vette, and I couldn't believe the orange peel. If your car has never been colorsanded and buffed, and the paint isn't too old, it's not that difficult to do. A couple evenings in the garage, or on the weekend and you could have her done. But it has to be done right, so you don't screw up your nice paint. I didn't see a "HOW TO" section in this forum, but it might be a good idea to have one. I'm a new member so I probably don't have too much pull around here I'd definetly do one if there was enough interest. Paint jobs are expensive, and most shops won't colorsand unless it's requested, and they will want alot more money to do it, so if i can help some people do it their self, that would be great.

the place where i got mine painted charges for all that colorsand and buff my paint is almost a year old now not sure if thats to long
That color looks great. If it was for my daughter, I would leave the 6 in it. Build the 350 to your liking & drop it in later. I like to see how to do stuff, so post away...
Thanks for the comments guys, i spent about 8 hours on the Nova today, finished all the colorsanding, all the buffing, and 2/3's of the polishing. My arms are about ready to fall off Hope to have the rest of it finished tomorrow. As soon as i get some more pics i'll get them posted.
