Just painted my trunk.

Duplicolor spatter over por-15. The duplicolor came out awesome. Great product.

trunk latch....ran out of paint.

Clear sounds good. Whats a good spray can clear compatible with the spatter?

Nibls, my trunk looked almost as bad as yours. I ground out as much surface rust as possible and applied the Por 15 with a sponge brush. Worked out great and hopefully the rust is encapsulated and will never rear its ugly head again.

Searched all over the garage for the EMPTY can of sealer I used...Thought I had kept it for future reference...Can't find it....If I recall it was either satin of flat Sherwin Williams clear sealer available at Home Depot in a spray can.
It did a fantastic job over the splatter paint on my Nova.

I used the por in the trunk of my car also. Great product. I just painted my trunk with the duplicolor splatter paint also. I didn't clear it immediately as I ran out of time. I got a little water on the the paint and it started to come off. This week I masked it all off again and used duplicolor clear on it. I don't want to do it again. That splatter paint gets expensive. It took me a little over 4 cans to do my trunk and 2 cans of clear. That's with 2 coats of clear.

What type of before pics you looking for? Here's a couple I found handy from my photobucket page. I think I have some with the por 15 on another computer. Will take a look.

I have been thinking about what to do with the hole where the EEC box mounted. Think I may slice the box, seal it up, and install it in the trunk hole as a type of filler plate. I may disect the box and see what I can do. Anyone know if there is a demand for those boxes? Otherwise, I could always just fab a metal plate.

I'll take your guys word for it on the clear but right now, this stuff is hard as a rock.

Noticed that when I masked off the areas for my rear lights, they didn't get painted and I can see the original Nevada Silver color. Gonna leave it alone, for posterity.
