I was at a wrecking yard here in Florida today and found a 1 of 324 L30 327 12 bolt 65 hard top. Bought the engine and trans for it complete minus pan and pick up tube. The rear end is gone. The body is so rusted but I now have the cowl tag and VIN tag for it.
327-250hp and 300hp engines got 461 double hump heads for all 327 cars regardless of car model after 1964.
Read page 89 of chevy by the numbers 1965-69 edition or there are several other chev docs that state the same.
I would like to see pics of the factory stamp pad on the passenger side front deck.
Did the car have a in dash tach? if yes you should have grabbed it too.
actually I would like to see pics of the cowl tag aslo!
does the engine block stamp pad have a vin# on it? that matches the serial # from the door pillar?
