does the budget allow for everything?

I got mine to clear 16" rallys with some minor mods

PS it was not the fins that needed to be clearanced...

I asked this same question a while ago:

http://www.stevesnovasite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=193001

I would bet that there is a wheel out there that will work with this set up. Its a matter of somebody figuring out which wheel/backspacing combo will work. Then most likely the rest of the site will have the same wheels :D. I prefer the look of 16" wheels (in the front) to the 17", hopefully you figure this out!

yeah, i know it's been asked, there are a lot of threads but no real definitive answer that i can see... i found 16" Rallys in any backspace needed for $95.00 ea and i'd like to be able to use 'em... everywhere i've looked a 17" in a 4-1/2-3/4" backspace are over $200 ea.

maybe i'll just have to wait on the wheels until the car is together and i'll just have to use my Percy's tool... ~SIGH~ ;)

ls brakes and you need wheels?? well im doing the same on my 69, but was GOING to buy these 17" rally's but for less $$ i opted for some 5 spoke Vette rims (have to buy the spacer)..

i noticed your in cali so here is a link. the guy is located in redwood. i seen the rims but (dumba$$) me didnt read the whole post and on the way there i noticed there were only 2. but come with rings and ceter caps too! said they were on his 66 nova. ( i think thats the year)

hope you can get em! i REALLY wanted these rims but going for a diff look.

NINJA EDIT: they are for sale for $300! but im sure he would take $275 or less. he told me when i called that there were a lot of flakers..

these guys say Camaro's used a 16 so it must be how the wheel is shaped/configured. i'll have to measure/test everything with the Percy's then i think i might take a spindle, rotor & caliper assy to the wheel manufacturer and test it on a display wheel. i'll call him first to see if they have displays. ;) the shop is about 2hrs north of my brother. (Oxnard) talked to my brother about a road trip to pick up the wheels... maybe he'll like to go on the road trip to test fit/order the wheels  ;)

be a pain though double the gas...

here's the wheel company

the reason the 16 inch rally dont work is because the drop center of the wheel hit the caliper face. you have to grind the face of the caliper to clear 15 inch and some 16 inch wheels i can send you a pic if you need me to show you what im talking about . i did it to mine to clear 15 inch wheels.
