flush brake system with alcahol ?

will flushing your brake system with alcahol hurt any of your rubber componets?thought is to break open bleeders on wheel cylinders,pump out all the brake fluid I can.then fill system with alc. bleed it out & repeat till system bleeds only alc.then change out master cyl. and start bleeding through sinthetic brake fluid till all the alc. is out.should pull all the moisture out of system and clean very well.any thoughts on this willy coyote idea please chimm in.thanks:eek::eek::eek:

You should elevate the rear. Then suck all the fluid put of the master cylinder. And fill the master cylinder with your desired fluid. Just keep bleeding until its all new stuff and you be just fine. This is the standard way of manually 'flushing' the brakes for newer type of fluid. It will most likely take a couple bottles at least to get it real good for certain.
