Was it possible to get the L79 in a non SS from the factory?
And was it possible to get Air Conditioning with the L79 in 1968 from the factory?

Please don't post unless you are 100% sure.
I've got a guy telling me about an all original 1968 Nova non SS with A/C and L79 engine.

It's my understanding that you could not get a solid lifter engine with A/C.

Specifications:
Lift: 0.447 inch intake and exhaust.
Duration: 221 degree intake and exhaust.
TYPE: HYDRAULIC LIFTERS
Usage: 1965-68 327 with special high-performance.
Commonly called the L79 327ci/350hp cam.

RPO Option C60 Air Conditioning Info:
Books by Doug Marion, Paul A. Herd, Alan L. Colvin, Jerry MacNeish, John Gunnell, Tom Currao, Ron Sessions and Jason Scott all support the above said theory that any Chevrolet cars with the solid lifter small block 302ci and solid lifter big block 427ci motors COULD NOT be ordered with AC, BUT any Chevrolet car with the hydraulic lifter small blocks or big blocks COULD be ordered with air conditioning.
