Just got back from the Street Car Super Nationals in Vegas (AWESOME!) and wanted to post a couple pics of Larry Larson's amazing '66 Chevy 2.
He was entered in the 10.5 tire class and battled traction issues all weekend.
It's truly amazing that this car can do the 1000 mile Dragweek trip year after year
This car is trick! Love that it still retains a fairly stock look compared to alot of the "promod" style cars he's running against! Door handles look cool too!
I bought a 4" lift off cowl for my 66 nova. I bought quik latch minis for it but want to know if I can reduce the number I use by figuring out what larson did here.
thanks
sorry I don't know what this is.
I called v** and luckily they will change my lift off 4" cowl to a bolt on.
Id love to figure out these pins. it will save me about $300 in quik latch mini fasteners.
hey bud I think someone would end up with stitches in their head at some point from those down mounted hood pins. if you look closely at larsons car the pin looks to go parallel to the hood mounting surface (horizontal with respect to ground)
I bet when you saw him you were not thinking about the hood pin mounts.
They look like a simple mount but there's that black part on the pin that I can only assume would lock the pin in place some.
