My engine is a 1974 4 bolt out of a pickup. Cast iron .202 heads scat crank and rotating assy, Performer intake with a 780cfm quickfuel carb, MSD HEI ignition, Hooker Headers, flat tappet comp 270 cam with 1.6:1 needlebearing rockers running a B&M 2500 stall speed converter on a TH350 from Summit. The rears are 3:73 Richmond on an Eaton Posi and the tires are M/T Sportsman S/R 28X15's. The engine was estimated at 400 HP at the flywheel, and I'll be taking to the Dyno shop in January if I can find a dry day otherwise I'll put it on a flatbed. It sort of has a problem with wet roads.....and it's snowing here today.....so it's staying in the garage.

I just wanted to know of any setup that you have ran or know someone who ran one that will give me a beast weekend cruiser. I need some ideas I have been on a bunch of websites that give you combos but I don't know how believable they are. Let me know what you need to know if that made any sense.

I have a 72 2 door. Bought it in October and plan to start tearing it down next month. Someone in the past sanded the car and took the vinyl top off and sprayed it down with ugly brown primer. On the good side, the rally wheels and tires are nearly new, the trans has a shift kit and the 350 has some goodies. This the first GM I've had in years after a GM Factory Rep sent me to Ford almost 30 years ago. Nice thing is, all the stuff on the Nova is like old home week to me. In my younger days I had 3 Corvettes (59, 63, 70 - and I miss all of them) and the obligatory '57 Chev. Then came life, now I'm retired and enjoying an "afterlife(?!!!)". If you wander up Goat Trail and see me, stop in. -p-
