    Hello out there
I have a question. I have posted a picture of my finished paint job on my 75 Nova on the "show and shine" board but it wont let me post it again on this board. How come?

Hi Philip, I was going to list some parts, but I can't for some reason. I used to be able to. What happened? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John C

Hello Phillip - I got the mounts you listed and they worked great. Thanks! I finished the swap yesterday. Man there was alot of challenges due to my lack of knowledge but I overcame each one so far. The engine looks great and ran great for all of 30 minutes - ouch! It devoloped a tick - I shut it down and pulled the valve cover to find a broken lifter sitting in the head. Looked like the spring retainer let go and I hope to find the spring, clip and lifter shell after I pull the intake. The engine sat for 5 years so it may have a few surprizes in store for me. It has good compression and the cooling system was good so I figured it was worth a shot since the motor was given to me by a neighbor who wanted it out of his garage. I picked up 16 lifters and a set of intake gaskets. Hopefully nothing made its way down into the motor. If not , it will be an easy fix. It just bites to undo a few hours of all that work. I wished I knew how easy it was to change lifters while I had the motor on the stand! Once I get past this setback, I plan to drive it for a few months and will look for a stronger rear end in the fall. I believe mine is the 7.5 inch that came with most 6 cylinder models in 77-79. I'm hopeing the lifter is the only problem. The motor ran vey smooth and fires right up. Much more power than I expected for a stock motor. I have a 650 edlebrock and an aluminum quadrajet intake, headders, dual exhaust and a holly eletric pump and regulator. Gotta go so thanks again for the part number of those mounts. It was a perfect fit. Rich.

Hi - My name is Rich and I am new to this site. I am still waiting for my ability to make a post so I will try this if you do not mind. I ordered a set of 350 mounts from GM parts direct . com and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them as far as lead times on special order parts. They do not post this info on their site so I am at their mercy. The 77 is up on stands and I found out the hard way that a set of 74 camero mounts are slightly higher causeing the hole locations to be off and be close but no cigar! I am doing a 6-8cyl conversion. I have an 87 350 converted over to carburation and v belts ready to drop in. Subframe is connected, suspension is upgraded, Torque conveter is switched to a wider pattern to match the 350 flexplate but no mounts yet!
