CPP drop spindle issues

Well I installed a set of CPP's new 2 piece drop spindles today and there are a few issues. The dust shield will no longer fit,not a big deal. The GM caliper brackets do no fit the drop spindles without some modification and if you have spindles with the 1/2 inch upper mounting hole you must find 2 5/8 bolts for the upper caliper mount. After you deal with these issues and get it all together you find that the caliper location is way higher in relation to the upper control arm than before and it is very difficult to get the caliper retaining pin back in.Set the car on the ground and it will barely turn before the bleeder screw hits the upper control arm.Any ideas or suggestions on how to correct this??I will be calling CPP in the morning to see what they have to say about this, maybe a different caliper mount?

If you put a jack under the control arm and raise it up as high as possible the pin will just sneek in.

Talked to CPP today, the dropped spindles only work with thier brake kits using the S-10 style caliper. My car has the old school disc brakes off of a Chevelle.

Would have been nice if they had said " the newer break setups only". Could you grind the bleeder down and it clear? It only has the end on it so you can put a hose on it when you bleed them. It would make mess when bleeding them but may work?

If I remove the bleeder screw completely then the caliper pin becomes the steering stop long before I get to full lock.

That would also explain the short turning radius. That set up moves the wheels out about 1/2" per side.
