I havent been around for awhile :(
Sold my 72 SS Nova,,, Sold my BB 70 Chevelle. to get outa debt (well mostly out of debt :o)

But I NEED another project... And always liked the 66 & 67 Nova's but never had one yet. Here in Arizona 67 and up need emmisions.
So I have been looking for a 66 Came accross this on Ebay ITS WAY OUTA MY PRICE RANGE
But does look like a dream car !

What is the definative way to know its a L79 ???

I am always trying to educate myself before buying.

No way to prove it without paperwork.

That console does'nt look to be in very good shape.

In most ways it appears correct, but he does'nt list any drivetrain #'s, or cowl tag info.

It says he welcomes all questions, so ask away!! What proof is there it's an original L79? How has he determined it's a numbers matching drivetrain? Get a pic of the cowl tag and VIN plate. Get the carb model, list and part numbers. Same for distributor. If there's paperwork and hard evidence to prove all his claims are true and that this car is a real L79, it could be worth $45,000.

The trim tag certainly requires some explanation. It has white paint dripped on it and says the car was originally Madiera Maroon.
