I've been wanting to get front disk brakes for a while as my nova is a DD.
Thing is I have 14 inch wheels and everywhere I've looked you need 15 inch or bigger for disk brakes. Does anyone know where i can get a disk brake kit for 14 inch front wheels.
Thanks- Blake

There are some 14" wheels that fit 11" disc brakes, but most will not. I used to have 14" rally wheels with front disc brakes.

Going through that same process but getting 15" rims. Try giving the guys at www.rightstuffdetailing.com or call 800-405-2000 and ask for a price on AFXSD14 for standard kit or AFXDC14 Power kit. As per the catalog it allows the use of standard drum brake wheels and the parts bolt to your drum brake spindles without modification.
Hope this helps.

It's not the wheel diameter that matters, it's how they're made. Disc brake cars used different wheel center configurations for caliper clearance. My '69 had 14" wheels and drum brakes originally, and I had to use 1/2" spacers for the wheels to clear the calipers when I did the brake swap. I later got some 14" wheels from a '78 Skylark (Buick Nova) and those fit fine without spacers, since all '75-'79 Novas have disc brakes. A very few '72 Nova SS cars had 14x7 non-rally steel wheels, and so did some 2nd-gen F-bodies. Those also fit without spacers, if you can find them.
