help choosing leaf springs

So I've decided I'll stick with leaf springs on the rear of my 66. I have lowered the front with 2 inch drop spindles and was planning on reinstalling the stock leaf springs and see where the car sits before I make any changes. My question is if the stock monoleafs ride to high, whats the next best leaf spring option for lowering the rear without making the ride too harsh?

Originally the car is a 2 door hard top, 283ci with 3 on the tree, no AC.

Setup is as follows:
Front: CPP mini sub frame kit, stock springs, Church boys R/P and sway bay when available, Edelbrock IAS shocks, 2 inch drop spindles, probably a 215/60/15 tire.

rear: leafs, edelbrock IAS shocks, 255/60/15 or 245/60/15

350ci making about 350/400tq
2004r trans

goal of the car, cruising, good but not too stiff handling, prevent wheel hop

Could I get away with lowering blocks on the stock springs without introducing wheel hop? or would some good muli leafs be the better answer? Does anyone make some similar to the Hotchkis leafs available for First Gen camaros (with the overload spring to prevent wrap-up).

Thanks!

Installing lowering blocks is a good way to go but, you will need to also install spring wedges to get the pinion angle back were it should be. As to wheel hop, I would wait to see how the springs react to the change. mono leaf are more prone to wheel hop then multi-spring.

Either Chevy 2 only or Classic industries has a stock mono leaf that is a 2" drop, just bolt it in, can't remember which site though, but know I saw them on one or the other.

How about Calvert racing split mono's? You can order them lowered or stock height. The best of both worlds with these springs. JMO!

for a soft ride with a low rear end I recommend you use my saggy original factory leaf springs. it's totally dragging, and very affordable :D
