How much would an original muncie 4-spd that is in working and great shape be worth?

I'll take shot and say less than $500 is a steal, more than $800-$900 is too much.
Anyone else?

I agree with Carl. I just picked up a 1973 M20 in really nice condition for $510 on E-bay.

I originally got it at a swap meet for $225 and the case was already in great shape and I took it home and took it apart to inspect everything to make sure it was alright. I'd have to check on what model it is. I am thinking about selling it and going with a TH-400

Well if you go that direction let me know. I have a th400 (short tail section) and we can work out a trade deal.

Sounds like a plan I'll let you know. If I did that I have a stage 2 or 3 I have to look zoom street strip clutch and a brand new fly wheel

That would be great since I have none of the 4spd stuff needed. I have not run this trans yet but what I have is th400 short tail shaft, 3000 stall, aluminum deep pan, hurst pro-matic shifter. I got the trans from a friend of a friend in a parts trade and was told it had a shift kit etc etc...of course you can open it for inspection.
I will know more about the trans once I light off the motor, unless you want it faster then that...and if I ever get done with the honeydo list...LOL You are in Ohio so I figure I can just do a road trip one weekend without much effort.

Yeah it's going to be a little bit. I am hoping by august some time. I am going to use it to get the car home. I have receipts for the clutch and everything. I was going to use a shift kit so that works out great actually.

The last 4 I bought were as follows M21=case of beer,M22=$400,he thought it was a M20,M21=$400,M20=$400,but I have to admit they were all great deals from guys who didn't really know what they had,and in the case of the M22,niether did I until I opened it up!:DSo $500-800 as Carl stated is the norm and abit more for the 22's
