I have a question about the "generations" of the Nova, i see on this site and a few others, the 68-74 are listed as the 3rd generation, while others have them listed as the 2nd generation
case in point, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_Nova#Second_generation_.281968.E2.80.931 974.29
can anyone explain.. is there a misunderstanding for some people, or just a difference of opinion

Whoever edited that is not very knowledgeable.(Took a few tries to come up with that PC statement)
1st gen is 62-65.
2nd is 66-67.
3rd is 68-74.
4th is 75-79 also known as the Disco Novas.
Look closely at the body styles and interior design to see the differences. Once you do, the categories are obvious.

Ahh, thank you very much:D
so technically there are 5 generations.. if you count the FWD rebadged corolla >.> what a disgrace to the Nova badge
maybe they should bring the Nova back? the new GTO.. ok car but not american, new camaro.. kind of ugly, the Mustangs suck.. seems like only Dodge and the new Challenger catch my eye, also the "new" GTO concept is just.. no
i suppose if GM did bring it back.. they would probably get it all FUBAR:bored:

First, welcome to the site. I've come to realize much of what is stated in Wikipedia is not necessarily factual. Besides getting the 'generations' wrong, the yellow Acadian convertible pictured is a 1962 not a '63 and, as we all know;), they were never Pontiacs:no:. Acadians were a stand-alone car line sold at Canadian Pontiac-Buick-Acadian-Vauxhall- GMC Truck dealers.
