I bought a conversion kit from ebay that switches my manual drum to power disc. When I got down to changing the spindles, they are the same.(length, diameter, bolt holes, ect.) I just don't know if I need to change these(mine are in excellent shape) Did I get the wrong spindles. My Nova is a '72 with manual drum/drum. Thanks in advance, JD

The drum and disk spindle are physically identical with the exception of the top part where a bolt goes into the front face. This part is shorter or shallower than the drum version. People sometimes take the drum spindle and shave this part down to convert it to a disk spindle.
