Ok. For two days the Nova has been driving fine. All of a sudden today the front passenger side makes an extremely bad squeaky noise when I turn left or right and if I get out and push down on the car it makes the same sound.

I am scared to drive it b/c I do not know the problem.

Process of elimination. Help me out what COULD it be and how can I check myself?

EVERYTHING is original except my brake shoes.

I have wire wheel adapters on and also the knock offs. Just adding this so nothing is overlooked.

My car did that for years until I figured out that I had a bad bearing shell in one of the upper control arms. It had broken loose and the shell was rotating when hitting bumps or turning rather than the bushing simply pivoting on the cross shaft.

As long as it's not a busted ball joint you should be able to squeak by for a day or two. :D

Had it checked at a local shop.

I was told basically a lot of the bushings on the front suspension and an arm or two. I forget exactly. He is getting it priced for me and will let me know.
