In some places it is high. But in this area a complete car non-molested ,[hot rodding is o.k. but I want to do it my way],no rust, all documentation[protect-o-plate,window sticker, etc.], 2 owner car is a rare find.:)

It would take no time at all to get to 6K for bodywork if you had to farm it out....I'm all about original paint cars...at least you can see what you are getting. So 6K is not outrageous.

I agree, $6000 for a solid car like that is a pretty decent buy. It's even better that it's a running and driving car. I'd buy it.

Thats kinda what I`m going with, I`ve wanted another 3rd gen Nova for a few years. I`ve built a couple of 2nd gen Camaro`s since then and as stated a good body is worth the $. Alot less Headache`s and $

Sounds just a bit high but not unreasonable. My '69 was in about the same shape but a six cylinder, 60k mile car with excellent interior . I paid $2500 for it. Later found out it has a bunch of bodywork on the passenger side. Original paint is a big plus.

id agree.
id say $6K is a little high but not unreasonable.
it you are in love "lust" with the car already, then i think you already now the answer.
id want to know the powertrain, i didnt see close pics of the rear quarters or frame rails? count up how many panels will potentially need work.
for reference, mine is in the same condition, i paid $2700 2 years ago, but i think this was a steal. i shopped for 2 years while holding on to a 72 nova rust bucket that i sold once i bought this one (every panel needed replaced!)
i agree with the previous post- original paint can say a lot.
i was kind of worried so i took mine down to metal to see what i had to work with. i pleased, and reassured, but now im in primer!
if it is a v8 car, $4K would sound a lot better to me.
personally, i wouldnt pay $6K for it.
if you cant get him down, just shop around.
waiting kind of stinks, but it might pay to do this...
best wishes

He's right, for California. Those things grow on trees like this out there. Around here, they're EXTREMELY rare. You're actually paying about $3500 or $4000 for the car and getting $2000 worth of body pieces and work for free. Add to that a factory a/c and power disc brake car and black interior.......
BUY IT.... before I go pick it up......

I saw one come here from New Mexico that looked good from 50 ft but still needed floorpans and the dashtop replaced.
It'd fetch more than 6k around here. They usually have had major panel replacement if its originally from Ohio. The last small bumper third gen I saw for 4k was really rough.

Yeah ,I`m trying to swing the deal tomorrow but banks don`t open untill of course Monday. I`ll most likely try and go get it then[,I`m actually off from work],. And I will for sure work on getting him off of the $ a little, hey he`s got some extra parts :Deven,[more booty]. As stated clean bodies are rare, around here back in the day Nova`s and Camaro`s were big time Dirt cars in this area has there were at least 4 good tracks within 100 miles.
