Rear chassis question (DUMB question)

I dont own a digital camera so bear (sp) with me. I know I need to get technologically up to date. I am putting new exhaust on my 69 nova. On the floor pan right by the back side of the gas tank there is a bracket welded to the floor. It has a single hole in it that is threaded. Sorry for no pictures. Is this what held the stock cross flow muffler?

The exhaust that I took off was extremely engineered. It had 2 inch dual glass packs on it that looked like they found pieces of exhaust that would fit and they used it. Now pypes x pipe exhaust cant wait.

There are no dumb questions. Without a pic, it is hard to say. Where exactly is the hole? On the right side frame rail at the front of the tank, there is a bracket with a hole for the fuel line. The hard line from the frame goes through it and the rubber line connects near the bracket. A little further back, some models had an exhaust hanger.
