That's pretty cool of you. Side by side the 8.5 and 12 bolt don't appear that much different in strength. Maybe pictures don't tell the whole story though.

They're pretty close that's why you can build up an 8.5 pretty tuff. Like in the eaton units the spider gears are interchangeable (on the new ones). I still like the 60:D. The frist picture angle made the 9" look big so I threw it in the line up.
