It's been a long time since I've been on the forum, so first-off... a big Hello to everyone, and I hope all is well. So after a very long hiatus from my '66 Wagon, I'm back on it again, finishing up the rear-end and rear suspension... so the next area is the front brakes.
My question is this. Who has the best over-all kit, meaning not just price, but amount that you get. I have nothing, no power booster, single bucket, single line. I want dual-MC, power booster, Stainless steel lines, and the best possible set-up for the conversion.
I've seen the eBay version, of which my brother-in-law used on his '67 HT and it turned into a nightmare when the kit was made for a Corvette, and did not fit properly. So I'd like to aviod those issues.
Any thouhgts will help. I've checked out CPP, Chevy2Only, and some other sites I've seen some of you post questions on, but I'd like to hear from the guys who have done this before.
Thanks in advance... man, it's nice to be back. :)

Kinda of a dumb question but why did he buy corvette brakes for his nova and then wonder why it was a nightmare?
I purchased front disc brakes for my nova on ebay, complete with spindles, calipers, rotors, lines and it went together like a breeze. Got a master for a disc brake car and everything couldnt have been smoother. Was pretty cheap too.

How best to explain this... he's not a mechanic, I am. He has friends with tools and listens to them... I don't.. I listen to me and people I trust... you.
So when I told him the kit looked like there was something wrong with the MC, he ignored me and bought it anyway.
He (well his friend really) had to grind the calipers down to fit the 14" DRUM wheels as well.
Me.. I ask a LOT of questions, and listen to the answers.
So far I am down to the Chevy2Only set up and CPP as I need everything, not just the rotors, spindles and calipers. So the kit has to be totally complete. I've only seen them from these two vendors. I have the CPP font end kit, so I know their products are solid, but I also like C2O's stuff as well.
Unfortunately.. it's gonna cost me, but it'll be well worth it.

Well, if anyone is interested, I found the answer...
The CPP kits comes with everything you need aside from the front to back line (which no kit carries as every car should have one). So if you're in the same boat as I am, and have ripped it all out with an original Single MC Drum brake system, CPP looks like the most complete kit.
Price is somthing I won't comment on out of respect for competition and all that. I just wanted the most complete kit there was.
